USask launches student AI literacy tutorial
Students can now access a new artificial intelligence (AI) literacy tutorial that explores how AI is shaping learning, research, career development, and the information people rely on every day.
Building on the foundational AI Literacy Tutorial, this new student-focused course takes a deeper look at the real-world questions students increasingly face as AI becomes more common in academic, professional, and personal settings.
Developed by the University of Saskatchewan (USask), the tutorial provides a self-paced learning experience that explores how AI is influencing research, careers, and the information environment around us. Students will learn how to critically evaluate AI systems, understand their impact on research and professional practice, examine how AI is affecting career planning and job searches, and strengthen the judgment needed to use AI effectively and responsibly.
Students are encouraged to complete one of the foundational AI Literacy Tutorial options first, as this tutorial assumes a basic understanding of generative AI concepts and responsible use practices.
