AI Principles

The University of Saskatchewan is taking appropriate steps to ensure ethical and effective use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in a manner that enhances learning, research scholarly and artistic works, and administration, and protects and enhances our reputation as a U15 university.

These Principles are the overarching statements that form the foundational framework for the university’s ethos related to AI use. The principles shape decision-making and institutional policy by reflecting core values and setting benchmarks for educational practice, research integrity, and administrative operations, thereby fostering excellence, innovation, and inclusivity.
